December 2012, Single-Ply Systems Holds It's Annual Safety Meeting
Lari Kippen with OSHA/Environmental Compliance Systems, Inc. (OECS, Inc.) conducted the annual company safety meeting. The meeting was followed by a Christmas lunch at Starks Saloon in Eagan, MN.

November 2012, Single-Ply roofs distribution center for San Mar Corp.
SanMar Corp., one of the nation’s largest imprintable-clothing suppliers, built a $35 million distribution center near Canterbury Park. Single-Ply installed a white thermoplastic roofing system on the new facility scheduled to open in early 2013. (See pictures of the building and roof below.)



Movember 2012
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Nate Cline, Christian Moy and Andy Barna are helping raise awareness with their Mo's.

February 2012, Joey Olson gets a new truck

Twenty plus year Single-Ply employee Joey Olson's company truck died with well over 200,000 miles on it. Joey travels primarily the midwest region doing roof repairs, so he spends a lot of time in his truck and was pleasantly surprised with a new Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty crew cab diesel truck. Joey said, "I'm not much of a Dodge guy, but this is pretty nice. This should last me about ten years."

December 2011, Joe shoots "Mister Big" at Ortfort

Single-Ply Systems President Joe Elder shot this buck with a muzzle loader in the morning on 12/3/11 at Ortfort Hunting Camp near Ortonville MN. It green scored 175 and weighed a little over 200 pounds. Joe and Andy named him "Mister Big". Way to go Joe!


September 2011, Shoot For A Miracle Charity Event

Single-Ply sponsored the fourth annual Shoot for a Miracle, held at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota and was again a great success. The day included a sporting clays competition, flurry competition, cocktail reception, dinner and both silent and live auctions. Nate and Casey were dethroned as flurry competiton champs, but are sure to be back next year to regain their title.

October 2010, Wally Shoots The Big OneEven after open heart surgery retired twenty year Single-Ply employee Wally Madland was able to bring down this 14 point buck near Ortonville, MN. Way to go Wally!


September 2010, Shoot For A Miracle Charity Event
2010 Flurry Competition Champs Casey Elder and Nate Cline

Single-Ply sponsored the third annual Shoot for a Miracle, held Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota and was again a great success, almost $10,000 raised for the Miracles of Mitch Foundation. The event attracted more than 100 shooters who enjoyed a great day of sunny autumn fun. The day included a sporting clays competition, flurry competition, cocktail reception, dinner and both silent and live auctions. September 2010, Birdies for the Brave Charity Golf EventLeRoy Swanson, Dave Zurn, Nate Cline & Casey Elder

Single-Ply System's employees Dave Zurn, Casey Elder, Nate Cline and LeRoy Swanson played in a best ball charity golf event at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine. TPC Twin Cities, as part of the PGA TOUR, hosted Birdies for the Brave golf event to support the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The Single-Ply team played well finishing the day -10.

Single-Ply Systems employees Jeff Anderson (Spike), Nate Cline, Lacey Bruner and Casey Elder attended a Twins day game at the beautiful Target Field.

 

June 2010, Single-Ply Systems sponsors Relay for LifeSingle-Ply Systems sponsored The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life charity event at the Anoka County Fairgrounds. Single-Ply employee LeRoy Swanson's wife Dawn participated in the event. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
